abandoned neighborhood

do you guys know why the neighborhood was abandoned? i could understand maybe one house being abandoned, but the whole place? it's crazy stuff. well, if you guys do know anything, do tell.

Sure.  We know  ;) .

The neighborhood housed doctors and nurses at a nearby mental institution.  They literally set up a whole neighborhood for these people, complete with a "community center" by the entrance where it looks like the staff could take their families and have social outings, dinners, and other events.

Weird, huh?

yea man, it is. i wonder why they'd do that. it's just weird how it's all abandoned, they didn't knock down the houses or anything, everyone just left and stuff. i wonder why they left it.

The hospital closed, the staff moved, the state did nothing with the properties.
