I was just browsing MA in google maps, to find a Dam way up in north west MA, by the Vermont line that has a nuclear power station on it, twf? The plant is called Yankee Rowe Power Station [owned by Yankee Atomic Electric Company.]

Check it for yourselves (I used Google maps)

   42.729316,-72.929885

Here is a website about the plant, etc. http://www.yankeerowe.com/

Says somewhere in there that the plant is fully decommissioned and the plant site re-mediated, and that the EPA has has issued draft approval for Final Phase II so in other words, the epa is gutting out old used nuclear shit and actually engaging in cleaning up the site so its safe..er..

In yesterday's projo, they mention the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant is leaking tritium. Anyone up for glowing in the dark?   cool

Yeah, I've visited the URI Bay Campus and photographed the nuclear reactor building.  It was actually built into an old WWII bunker, one part of it is now the campus security hq.  It's a neat place.
