Help! Have driven past an abandoned building for at least 10 years. looks large from road and there is a security guard guarding it. Asked family from south eastern, MA. about it and found that it was an old hospital for children. some others said it was a mental hospital for the under age. so my husband and i decided to explore after i had multiple dreams of the place. In one dream I was running away from something and ended up in front of an old church and on the front there were paintings if children. got on property two days ago... found multiple buildings... largest four stories...  Well the CHURCH was THERE!! CHILDREN SCULPTED into front. I am FREAKED out!!!!! Need to find out more. Nothing. on internet..... Why???

Hi there!  I'm sure we would all be glad to help but we need to know the name of the town in southeastern MA.  If you don't know the name of the actual hospital then starting with the town would help.  I only know some things about CT/RI but there are a few guys on this board who I'm sure could help you out.

It is in lakeville... Did more digging online. it was a hospital to treat tuberculosis in children with those iron lungs and then a  sanitarium/insane asylum then... it was a hospital that focused on children with disabilities. Built in 1908. Very haunted...security guards and explorers have witnessed creepy things. Third floor is wear the worst of the haunting occur. Has anyone been??

Totally could have gotten in the church but was completely freaked out due to dreaming of the facade with all the children on it and never being there before. Creepy! It was very late and dark so think he was sleeping but has been known to have dog as well. Researching place seems really cool. The main hospital building has very interesting iron lungs. Would make for a great photo's  also heard their is fully stalked morgue. Will not go at night again... will let you know about day security...

fully stocked morgue  come on now. What is that even supposed to mean?

We've had members explore hospitals with morgues.  Norwich State Hospital has one, for example, shiny as the day the place was closed.

well first things first If youve drove past it for 10 years u must know where it is B: the town of middleborough (horrible spelling I KNOW) n lakeville  are basically rich ppl atleast thats the impression i got from goin their a few times. the cvs which is right accrosd the street of the hospital had this one employee that knew sum stuff about it he just slightly mentioned there bieng one guard and a fire takin place in one of the buildings a few years back. The place seemed legit . the mourge is not cherry atleast when i stumbled upon it earlier this year and i've made several trips since then not much has changed but there's been alot of talk about the land bieng used for offices or something lame. i did notice construction in the back of the property  I happend to notice this as inwas circling the perimeter of this place

For the record if anything at LH is haunted it would be the oldest single story building in the back, the new building is no more haunted than a pair of flip flops.
