Camp Greene was a working camp in the 90's.  Unsure when it closed down but probably about 10 years or so.
I hide in the shadows and babble about old things.  I appear to most new members of IB.  I might beat you with my cane.

Never heard of the legend and I grew up only about 5 miles from there but just over the CT border.  There's a similar legend about an abandoned house not too far from there, some guy went and killed his whole family in 1959 and the house has been abandoned ever since yadda yadda...did some research and found out that someone died in the house in 1957 and it's been abandoned ever since, but she wasn't murdered.  And the only person left who lived in that house today is 89 and lives in Charleston.

As for spooky places...

Ramtail or Bara Hack...maybe.

I wasn't all that creeped out when I went to either.  There's Down's Rd.in CT that's supposed to be creepy but it really wasn't.  Couple roads in Sterling CT that I hate driving down late at night, River Rd., Bailey Rd., Cedar Swamp Rd...

Actually Cedar Swamp Rd. is creepy during the day.  Lots of deer carcasses just laying about.  Kind of gross.

When I go to places I'm more worried about actual people watching me than people I can't see.

lol nastynate, you should see pictures I get when I'm burning incense, it's awesome.

Wetherill is awesome.  Would love to go when the tunnels aren't full of stagnant water.

Camp Greene is still a working camp during the summer it is a religious camp and run by members of my family.  There is an association that raises money to upgrade the buildings and services a bit more every year.  No one has gone nuts there, no one has been murdered there, no one has done anything abnormal there and many of the forty somethings who grew up in this town went there as kids and even send their kids there now.

Bara Hack was an interesting place.. I'm not too stooper-stitious but the weirdest thing happened to me.. I dropped my flashlight in the family graveyard and tripped over a small grave stone, shortly after I felt this strange terrible cold over me until I left bara hack (I propped the stone up btw! No way would I leave it like that after I tripped and knocked it over) Buut, yeah it was interesting place all together. We also heard odd footsteps, we kept flashing the light in the area and nothing was there... I can't explain that, but I know we saw deer in the area earlier, so who knows prolly just some deer.
Huzzah!!
