hey fellow explorers. i was doing some research on the coast watcher program the military used during the 40s to spot possible invasion or axis submarines. they were small posts usually put on islands or little penusulas on the coast of the eastern us. there are several of these from plymouth ma to the tiverton line in rhody ive explored. usually they consist of a tall tower and a bunker in the general vicinity. i was told of one in the sakkonet point area and searched without any luck, i was wondering if anyone may know of this spot if so you can e-mail me gooseberry island has one where the towers are still accesable, and the bunker is hidden but still there, scusset beach in sagamore mass has a nice set up as well.
