well i got a chance to get out exploring today and stopped by some woods in Davisville that i have been wanting to get to for some time the area where these woods are is the orignial Davisville settlement so I have hoping to find some old wells and or foundations or better what I did find was the remains of an old culvert that carried water under the road and an old cemetery in these woods ill be back to look to see what else is out there todays pics are below enjoy

Cool stuff.

Did you happen to find what's left of the Davis Mill?  It's on the right bank of Hunt's River, once it goes under the road. It's not much but it's nice to photograph.

From you pictures it looks like you were pretty close.

I went there this weekend. The old mill site is rather interesting. You can see how they diverted a part of the Hunts River to power their mill. Additionally there are forge smeltings scattered across the ground. Multiple foundations as well. Reading up on it, it seems this man-made stream leads to School street.
Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.
