Yay fast internet!
« on: October 02, 2006, 12:45:13 PM »
Ok, so I'm back again!  When I get some extra time I'll be doing that huge photo upload, but it could be a little bit because I'm back freelancing for the newspaper I was working for last summer.  First article will be on the soon-to-be-demolished Masonic Temple in Norwich CT.

And I have fast internet, so I'm constantly on YouTube/Livejournal/Myspace. There goes my life!  oops. :)
I hide in the shadows and babble about old things.  I appear to most new members of IB.  I might beat you with my cane.

Are you familiar with Norwich?  The temple is right on the corner of Sachem & Washington St., but Washington St. is extremely busy.   I took a drive by yesterday but I timed it wrong and was there when NFA got out (NFA is like a 3000 student high school) and all the kids were around.  No demolition workers though (this was like 1:45?) and some people were milling about the site who looked like they were either scavenging or exploring.  I'm probably heading up there on my lunch break or after work tomorrow (I work about 10 minutes away) to see how the demo's going and take pictures, but I really hate seeing that building come down.

Megan, NFA gets out at 2:10-2:15 (somewhere around there). Not that *I* care but I know how you are with details sometimes.

And from someone who lived in Norwich, let me assure you that Washington street IS very busy.

I don't want to see the Masonic Temple go just because it's pretty. lol I don't really care about going in it, it was just always this pretty building I passed by when I was young. Just another part of childhood that would change that I dont really want to, I guess.
I like jews. And fires. But not together.

lol I must've clocked out at 1:45 then because I definitely hit the school traffic at NFA.  When the phone rang 51 times that day I was soooooo out of it hahaa..
