Planning a Large Norwich State Hospital Trip

I'm planning on getting a rather large, but very organized group (or a few sets of small groups) together, from both the UER and IB communitys to take a trip to norwich state hospital, to help document the entire place. I would really like to get a full feature of NSH on bizarrene.com, IB, and UER with video, photo's ect.

The security on that place is actaully pretty good, so a large group walking around wouldn't fair to well, but if we can make lets say 6 groups of lets say 3 people, to help spot security, and cover different grounds, i'm sure we could do a real good job documenting NSH.

this is good and bad.
good because i think everyone and their mom should see the place
bad because
alot of people, even if panned out its still alot of people and higher risk of getting caught
not only do you have to watch for security, but during the daytime there are also construction workers bombing around
state police occasionally patrol the property
unless one person in each group knows the property its easy to get turned around especially in the tunnels
i could go on
ill watch this thread and answer any other questions since i feel i know the grounds best on this site.

Well, we could also reduce the amount of people down to 6. It would be easier to find 6 people. One group to spot security, and the other to infiltrate,

I like your thinking but in that area, any group of people will stand out, so I'm not sure how effective that plan will be... carbon?

i think any group thats going to a place they havnt been just to watch for security and not explore is going to get bored and either a abandon mission, or b say theyll be ok and go explore themselves. security is easy enough to get around with 1-2 maybe 3 people. nemore and your pushing it no matter whta theyre doing. security watchers still have to hide too.

My thought is the three groups (of three each) wouild be effective, if we agree to cover different areas of the hospital. I found a map of the area online, and it shows all the buildings, and which ones are connected by tunnels, with a directional as to Noirth. 

Think of each group as cells. Each cell covers a certain area. One sould do only tunnels, or basements. One covers North, and one South. This way, all groups are autonomous, and no one group is subject to getting rounded-up.

It might be a good idea if there was one person who get on top of the roof of, say, the old Administration bldg, to do spotting, and relay that info (by cell if possible) to the others.

It would be great if we could get on top of the Physical Plant for spotting.

what in the hell building is the physical plant? and if you got onto the roof of main admin youd be seen from a long ways away.

the physical plant is also called the power house...that's the building with the big tank in the front, and the huge 20-ft tall glass-cube wall of windows. It's at the south end, next to the refrigeration building (which has a sign in the front that says "refrigeration building").

It's true that one could be seen from a long ways away if ontop the Admin building, but it works the other way that one can see a long ways away. From the front of the building, this is more important, than from the back. The back faces the courtyard, and the old cafeteria/theatre/storage. From there, noone would be driving up, as the driveway/parking lot is in front of Stedman (the "Criminally Insane") building.

In the interests of introducing myself: here's a little bit of my story:
I've been interested in NSHFTI since 1992, when I was court-ordered to Boneski. At that time, I was given a guided tour of most of the buildings that were still opened, for various reasons. Mostly what's interested me all this time is the architecture. 
We were taken to Lodge once a week, so that new-comers could get clothes from The Nook--a room full of donated supplies; an outpost of The Salvation Army. Those outfitted by clothes from there sported "the nook look."
I personally was escorted to Kettle after telling staff I had chest pains. I was given an EKG in a room on the first floor.
Chow time, thrice daily was in Seymour, on the right-hand side. The patients from Kettle ate on the left-hand side.
I served my 40 hours of community service in the kitchen.
Since it was summertime, we did much of our rec. on the ballfield, behind Kettle. One occasion, it was raining, so we were escorted through the tunnels from Boneski (Galup) to Dix (I believe), where the tunnel ended, and then walked a short way to Ray, where to gym is. We played basketball. The toilets are downstairs, as are the bowling alleys--obviously unusable.
The New Admin building was still used, and had soda machines in there, but we weren't allowed to go in there.   

In 1999 I made a video (using stills only) talking about my stay. I also had voice-overs from a few people who either visited Boneski, or NSH. On my Stock page, (link below) I've posted about 10 of the photos I used in that movie.

being that I, personally, have had to run from the cops on the grounds, i can tell you that any group of over three people will run the SEVERE risk of being caught and arrested... if we were not the "gansters" we were and we didnt have carbon with us, wed be in jail for sure... carbon knows the grounds probably better than the security guards themselves and to not have him or someone as knowledgeable as him is pure stupidity... just putting my two sense in... but i wouldnt risk it... at BEST, id plan to go up different nights with different people in your entourage...

Yeah, earlier in the summer I was thinking about attempting NSH because I was working out but...I'm still a fatty so I won't even try until I know I can run a mile or two...

last time (in sep) i went there was no signs of secuirty
this hole big group "tour" sounds like a horrible idea ur ganna get busted
plus if ur plannin on walkin in nsh without respirators knock ur self out there people
i dont believe everybody should see nsh because that place gettin mainstream is bad news
my advice go your self or with 4 people tops even then split up and everybody try to have a cell phone

theres staties that patrol activly too there now. so id keep low profile, i never used a resperator there once and im going on going there four years. as long as you dont rub up against the pipes or walls your fine, even then it wouldnt matter with what little bits there. as long as nothings disturbed your fine, and then asbestos is heavy so itd fall quickly
