i just bought a dual trunking portable police scanner to try and keep a step ahead i know that they have limited range but i figure any prior notice of their arrival will be beneficial anyways i got the rhode island freq list online and have no idea what pl means if anyone could let me know i would definitely appreciate it
When you go looking for ghosts in these places be sure to be a ghost leave no clues to your existence and dissapear into thin air!!!!

PL should denote Private Line, certain Freq. transmit over the same Freq. eg 454.2500,  if a pl is used ABC co. can use 454.2500 pl 100 and XYZ co. can use 454.2500 pl 200 and never hear each other transmiting on the others radios, when using a scanner without the pl you woudd hear both. 85% sure this is how it works but have'nt used a scanner in over 10 years and the last two way i used was a CB.
Don't worry, if you die....We'll make it.

Pretty sure that you are absolutely correct. The Motorolla 2-Ways that we've got have the same thing.
