We got our balls back! (Weekend of exploring, including Ladd School!!!)

As most of you know, Zack (Cavanaugh Park) go exploring a lot, but after we got caught at Hell's House back in 2003, it took away our balls and we barely went anywhere for the next two years.  This month alone, we went to more places than 2004 and 2005 combined lol.  All my pics from this weekend have been uploaded here!

Soooooo yesterday we went back to the random Gallup Homestead Mystery Buildings in Sterling, CT.  They're the giant oil tanks with random shacks mixed in.  I just wanted to take pictures during the day, so we weren't going to stay long and parked right in front.  (11 pics)

After that we decided, what the hell, why not try Ladd School again!  We hadn't been since July 2003 and that whole thing where there was a ton of security for the past couple of years, so now that the shit's died down, we tried again.  We ended up running and hiding constantly for about 25 minutes, which was quite hilarious considering we must've been spotted by two cars who didn't end up giving a shit.  Unfortunately, all our running was for nothing as ALL of the buildings were boarded up and we couldn't get in without ax/flamethrower/bomb/crowbar/jackhammer etc.  So we got some nice shots of the Fogarty building's facade and a sign that said "NO ASS!"  Whatever, we've been in the buildings before, so it was nice to get better shots of them. Then we went to Newbury Comics and Starbucks, and went back to my house and watched To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

Anyway, this morning I woke up and decided, what the fuck, UNDEATH lit a fire under my ass about Broad Brook Dairy yesterday, so Zack and I decided to go today.  We ate at Dairy Queen though, and didn't feel like running if we had to, so we took a quick drive by where Leaning Farmhouse of Preston used to stand and by the Butch Fox House in Preston, only to discover a huge dumpster outside.  Looks like I'll be losing one of my favorite abandoned houses soon .  (2 pics)

We drove on some random ass dirt road and ended up by Broad Brook Dairy in Preston, CT.  The last time I went there was for ice cream in 2000, so when I saw a good portion of it collapsed by the time Skully and Dakiel went in 2003, I was quite surprised. 

We sped like an asshole to the back of the building and probably scratched up my car (whatever....it was worth it) and went in the back where we saw three 50's milk trucks.  Even though the building is in sorry shape and probably not safe, we decided to chance it and explore the rest...after all, I had just been there six years ago so how bad could it be...

The roof is collapsing everywhere in the building.  It was really cool to go up front and see the counter and the booth where we used to eat ice cream and stare at the outdated posters of the Preston City Fair (last fair was in 1998).  There's a jar of mustard that's still yellow sitting on the shelf.  The good news is that it doesn't look like anyone has vandalized it.    (52 pics)
