Dixmont Smokestack imploded today

A tall smokestack at the site of the former Dixmont State Hospital in Kilbuck Township, Allegheny County, was imploded shortly after noon Tuesday.

The land is being cleared to make way for the new River Pointe Plaza, a retail development that will include a Super Wal-Mart.

Wow.  That's some incredible video.  I can't believe the place is being leveled for a Walmart.  Big $$$.
