I take a side road and find this, had to reverse the good'ole GTI and take a second look.
This was on a very narrow road, i don't think that road get's much traffic. :o  :blink:

Could be a DEM Forest Fire watch tower. There are a few still left down there.

The tower has a small area fence around it, but the space in which it's located is veary Un-kept.

Looks like a fire tower to me . . there are sites that list which towers are still standing in each state, dont know any addresses offhand

well i can't see the picture because it wont load probably because it was on here a really long time ago.. but if i am thinking of the same tower.. a white one? right before you get back to route 3.. then i think it is a fire tower because it is right next to the fire station.
