Questions??????
« on: September 28, 2004, 07:26:19 PM »
Got a few questions for all you experienced explorers.
I had tried posting this on UER, but too confusing.

OK
1. I don't have a digital camera, but just a regular one. I do have a scanner.
Would I be able to take pics of where I go and some how post them on this site?
Or on UER?

2. Is it still considered "exploring" if you take pics of caves and gravestones.
I just can't do asylums and hospitals anymore.

3. If you get caught tresspassing, how do you get out of it?

4. What is some basic gear I can take besides a flashlight?

2. I think recognizing anything that might otherwise have been forgotten is always considered exploring.

I don't blame you about hospitals and asylums. Bad s**t went on in these places and it can get inside your head if you let it.

3. I was caught several time in the beginning and I chose not to run. I thought it would look too suspicious. I just talked. I explained I was not there to cause any trouble, that I just wanted to photograph the old architecture. I offered to show the contents of my pack. (which was only photo gear) Then I said if it was an issue I would leave immediately.
Once I was even allowed to stay. I don't know if this would work again, it is only my experience.

4. I choose to only take photography equipment, respiratory and personal protection. I have always been able to find a way in without forced entry and I think it would help my case if I ever got in serious trouble that I didn't have the means to forced entry. This is only my opinion. Not all locations allow for suck a light load.

I work with mentally ill persons and the elderly with dementia.
I don't need to hear scream of dead or displaced people.

wish i had a load......oops did i say that out loud?  lol

by the way i believe the first question had nothing to do with flashlights or am i losing my mind?

second, i worked with old people and dementia and all that too, i find it so fascinating to read about these places and then go see them. everyone is different though, and i agree with letting them get in your head. I go to this one place that was pretty bad, and everytime i leave there i can feel it pulling me back , i havent been there for a while now but am planning to  go back in the near future. Its just something i dont think i will ever stop doing.
