hey fellow explorers.  i was doing some research on the coast watcher program the military used during the 40s to spot possible invasion or axis submarines. they were small posts usually put on islands or little penusulas on the coast of the eastern us. there are several of these from plymouth ma to the tiverton line in rhody ive explored. usually they consist of a tall tower and  a bunker in the general vicinity.  i was told of one in the sakkonet point area and searched without any luck, i was wondering if anyone may know of this spot if so you can e-mail me gooseberry island has one where the towers are still accesable, and the bunker is hidden but still there, scusset beach in sagamore mass has a nice set up as well.

history is always eroding

working from memory here but i beleive the one on sakonnet point is now a golf course, ill check my info and get back to you.
Don't worry, if you die....We'll make it.

There is one in marshfield that you can rent!!!!!!LOL

There's a couple towers and a crapload of bunkers on the coast of Nahant, MA.

I counted at least four towers in nahant . . one was in party mode all lit up with tons of cars parked outside . . I wanna have a cool party in my very own tower.

Maybe we could brick you up in it!

Aww . . still mad at me? Girls are so emotional.

The bunker at Sakonnet Point was a private cottage until 2019 when it was demolished. Most of the remains of Fort Church/Sakonnet Point Military Reservation are buried or destroyed. Nahant t one point had 7 or 8 towers and cottages but they were demolished in the 1960s leaving the four.
