best type of light to bring tunnel/drain exploring

any suggestions on what kind of light/ lanterns are best for exploring tunnels or drains. im looking for something that can pump out a good amount of lumens when im in a large dark area or a long dark drain... you know, somethin that can cut through the atmosphere most tunnels and drains have.

i went through the east side tunnel recently and LED spotlight i had just kinda sucked. the pic im posting is what i got of the tunnel roof... and that after i used a program to brighten it. so yeah any suggestions would be great
