New member to the site, but I've lurked a few times starting a couple of years ago. I came across the site while searching for info on the Dever School in Taunton. I was there for a 5 week dispatcher academy almost 2 years ago. Did alot of walking around on our lunch breaks. Awesome place, we started to venture into one building and then we left because some of the group chickened out. Probably wouldn't have been as bad if we had flashlights.

Anyway, i was scheduled to go there for another class this week and my boss told me that the State 911 Department had to find a new location. After some asking around I found out that the property now belongs to the city of Taunton.

It's a shame. I'd have loved to get inside those buildings. I may take a stroll through the property during the day to get pics of the outsides of the buildings.

Welcome to the site man!  I was there on Saturday, all the buildings were wide open.  Security remains though despite the sale.

Really? I noticed that there's no guard trailer when you enter the property. It's been moved near the 2 buildings that the state uses.

I hope to get more into UE. I remember going into one of the bunkers down in Point Judith, RI years ago when I started dating my GF. Her family has a place down there at Breakwater Village.

Dever is definitely still doable. Security is there, but not full time any more. That's about all I know.
