Is the sockanosett boys training school completely gone now? I know construction was planned and started, but do not know if its been totally demolished yet.

Most of the buildings are still there but they have been completely renovated. You kind of cant even tell what it used to be. They connected them together with new additions. I am pretty sure there is nothing left worth seeing. It actually looks like they are getting close to finshing the project.
get me an avocado, an ice pick, and my snorkel

VHS...now that's badass.

I've done that with a video of my grandfather when he was interviewed by WJAR in 1988, just to preserve it.  The VHS I did it from was getting really worn out.

There are several ways of doing it, the easiest is to pay someone else (lol).

There's a $50 thing you can get from Best Buy (it might be more now, like $100).  It sucks but it does the job.   Anything that gives you a USB input from audio/video cables will do, actually, paired with any cheap video editing software.
