The Ledge House

A friend of mine found this house which appears to be the site of a proposed development.  I'm not sure if they plan to save the house or not.  It's a contemporary looking house but town records say it's from the 1920s.  It is built on this rock ledge, which is pretty neat.  Before it got overgrown there must have been a sick view.  Of course a bunch of kids smashed every single window and burned a hole in the floor.  With all the huge windows and the proximity to two police stations I'm surprised they didn't get caught.

Anyway, here's the album:

That place is awesome.  Love it.  Shame the kids had to trash it, looks like it used to be real nice.

Wonder if the architect was the same one that built the house (ruins) at the former Hell's Gates, that place dated to the 40s/50s and had almost an identical chimney with some similar design elements, from what I could tell.

Yeah, all you really need is buy a lot of windows.  There are (were) so many of those...  Plus you might want an industrial weed wacker to fight back the encroaching brush.

I think IB should buy it and make it a totally badass headquarters/clubhouse LOL.

As an aside,  I think realistically you could make it livable again for around 70K or less, so if you bought it cash for like 10-20K that's not a bad price altogether for something that could be as sweet as that.

...Is it for sale? LOL

(I'm on my phone excuse this if its formatted awkward or whatever)

It looks like they're going to develop the land around it.  It's too early to know for sure, but they haven't touched the house.  More houses would definitely ruin the setting.
