I must admit it was weird running through a school where the power was still on. I was waiting for a teacher to duck out of a door at any point and say hey what are you kids doing etc.

Hahaha I have a kayak but its not seaworthy.  I took it for a 7 hour exploration of the Hockomock Swamp/Hockomock River last spring and it sucked, I'd be swimming back to shore in any surf.

I missed when this one got torn down because it was on my to-do list, and then when I started working at the po I was delivering on this road and found a big empty field where the school was LOL

down towards 2A or Rt. 2?  The school was in the middle.  I think it closed when they opened the Preston Veteran's School on Rt. 165 and tore down the Preston City School (in 2003) but I could be wrong because I wasn't really paying any attention. haha

It's been gone at least 3 years because I started at the PO in May 2008 and delivered that road around August or so and there was no sign of the school besides part of the playground that's still there today.  When did you go?

Nice pics Carbon, I agree the peace sign is hardcore. Use your fingers to make a V (as in Victory). When you do it sideways like a wannabe gangster it's not a peace sign, but commonly used by the Northside gang and people who emulate what they see on TV.

@Chief Luckily I have a two person kayak, it gives me enough room for my tackle box or a cooler in the summer. I haven't had any problem with it in Boston harbor or down in RI, though I did manage to sink it when I tried to fit three adults. Lost a case of beer that time too! Good times.

Towards 2a. If ur heading that way its on your right. You'll see excavators, bulldozers etc.

my friend lives before where the school was coming from 2a. little white house with little white garage, so it was easy for me to park there and just walk over. they were throwing a piano out of the school ( well wheeling into the dumpster ) and she saw it and they let her have it for her sister or cousin or some relative and shes the one who told me about that guy doing the demo. I guess he under bid everyone by thousands since he was A right down the road and B was just going to illegally bury it.

im asylumghost over there, i dont go there much because most of them are cocky emo dickheads.
One who will remain nameless overheard me talking one day in a store he worked at about norwich state hospital.
he jumped in and we talked for probably a half an hour. i signed online ( deggi5 back when it was invite only years ago ) and he was bashing me. I saw him again in the same store ( he worked there ) and he had nothing to say to me face to face. that kind of shit pisses me off.
Also I got into it with dobi as I was friends with security and have had open access to norwich hospital for quite some time up until last year. I even spoke with him via phone to see if he wanted to come down and have some access to some great outside shots without having to worry about security, then he bashes me online too. so those emo fucks can go cut their wrists the wrong way and look for attention with tight jeans somewhere else. I just browse the forums there mostly only for local stuff.

lol I got as far as someone spouting off the words "Preston Police Barracks" and decided they're a bunch of dumb shits.  If they knew anything at all about NSH is that the cops are staties and Preston has a resident trooper. There actually aren't too many local police forces in this neck of the woods.

Also, it reminded me that high school was like 10 years ago and how I don't really miss it.

They also knew not what they were talking about since A main admin isnt the center of the complex, B there is no security on the state side and they were informed to keep and i quote "theyre nose out of it" even if they see people roming inside the fence. I love it when some online jackass meets me in person and wants to shake my hand or pretend they're my friend.
