As a summer project, I've decided to compile a database on all of the mills in southern RI.  There are close to a few hundred in northern RI, but using aerial photographs, I've only found a total of 30 mills.  Most of them are still in use.  I only know of 3 that are in ruins, but still somewhat intact.  I used Live Search Maps to map all the mills with pushpins, and from there I plan to research each one as well as visit them to take photos.  Here's a link to my collection on Live Search, it should work:

Doesn't appear to work?  It's showing me one spot in RI with like a garage. lol

You could post geo coordinates so those of us who use google earth could find them too, if you can't get the map above to work.  I'm all for making people work to find places. lol

Yeah, the link doesn't work.  I'll try posting individual locations sometime.  Or find a way to make it work.

Does anyone know how to share your places on Bing maps?  I still want to get this database out there

Booya!  I can't do it with Bing but Google works fine.  The aerial quality isn't as good.

NOTE:  Almost all of these places are still in use.  Very few are actually "abandoned".  Even mills like "Carolina Ruins" have the owner living right next to the ruins and security cameras everywhere.  If you have questions about a place let me know!

Oh sweet, of course you can always cross reference in Bing, I do it all the time.
