Abandoned Hotels of New Hampshire
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:30:35 AM »
So, this last weekend I was able to go to New Hampshire for four days. After about 2 days there I got bored and decided to drive around aimlessly for a while. I guess it's a good thing that I did or I wouldn't have found some of these places.

One of the Hotels has shutdown in Lincoln and although the building was in disrepair, the pool looks like it's had a rough ride.

There was a sign outside that said the hotel was being renovated but I didn't see any signs of it in the area. A little Friday the 13th anyone?

This hotel was gone as well but I find it obvious why that is. A Christmas themed hotel is stretching it a little.

Last but not least, have you ever driven by a spot to check it out only to relize that there is something better in the woods behind it? I was driving down the road in Lincoln when I spotted a caged off area. Upon investigation it was nothing but I then saw something in the woods.

Well, this is different. Now behind this was some old two level foundation.

It's nice to find something new to explore.

Nice!  Thanks for the pics!
I hide in the shadows and babble about old things.  I appear to most new members of IB.  I might beat you with my cane.

lol I've never been to Santa's village but found someone's 1989 home video of that place in a camcorder I got from a flea market.

I don't remember exactly where SV is. The hotels were in Bethlehem and the foundation plus pool were in Lincoln / North Woodstock.

Its not a big deal but if you hike up Mt Lafayette, right off 93N, on the summit there is the foundation of some summit building that burned down.  I didn't explore it because there was no way to get to it,but a couple weeks ago I was hiking up the King's Ravine trail on Mt Adams and well below and to the right of the summit there was some vacation looking house.  It looked pretty nice but it also looked like noone had been there in years.

Same here. I also have family that just moved to Bethlahem so I got to see them as well. It's a pretty nice area yet most of the buildings look a bit run down.

That area is probably the only place i would move away from my current location ( born n raised in ).
Only thing is jobs seem a bit scarce there unless you own a motel
