Title: [RESOLVED] File names
Post by: DNA81 on June 23, 2006, 02:05:07 PM
I am trying to go in and add text under my pics to explain them. When I went to the screen, I think it was change file name, it wouldn't give me access. Anyone know if it is even possible to change anything after you already upload?

Even I can't change the filename, it'll break that database.  You should however be able to change the title and things like location (BTW, is anyone else adding locations to their photos??).

If you're at the top level of your member gallery, let's say "Home > Member galleries > skully", you should see a EDIT FILES button next to each gallery.  Do you see this on your screen?  THis is where you make changes.

Let me know if you still need help, I'm happy to help.

Is there a way to add a location for a whole album instead of individual pictures?  Maybe I missed it, but if there is then I'll add locations to mine.

Nope.  No way to apply a location to an entire album.  WHat I do is find a pic out of each album that best showcases the location (should look good in a thumbnail) and assign a location to that pic.

The problem I've run into on that is that when you go to edit it brings up all of the pictures, so if you save one location the rest are set at your personal default location... and it won't let me edit it individually... anyone else have that problem?

Actually, when you view the (intermediate) image, you should see a button below that says EDIT FILE INFO.  You should be able to just edit one image's info.  Do you see that button?  You should see the option right after you click on the image's thumbnail.  Let me know how you make out.
