This place is pretty small beans as far as urban exploration goes. It is not really worth making a long trip, but if you live in New Haven county or are passing through, you should check it out. It is a one-story building sitting on a 4.9-acre plot in the West River neighborhood of New Haven. It was a former nursing home that closed down in September of 2004 and has been vacant since. I wrote a couple of blog posts (with photos) about the place: http://nassahegon.blogspot.com/2016/03/atrium-plaza-health-center-new-haven-ct.html

"Small beans"
Well, when you consider what is and isn't left to explore in CT...
Great blog though. I don't have a hell of a lot of time to explore anymore, or even write blog posts, so it's great to hear about new locations.
Thanks for your kind words about my blog. Places to explore are certainly dwindling. Ironically, I am working as an intern for a guy who is nationally esteemed for his brownfield revitalization strategies. In case you did not know, brownfields are what planners call abandoned industrial sites. It would be exaggerating a bit to say I feel a sense of urgency, but brownfields are getting cleaned up much faster than they are being created.
