LOL yeah no kidding.  We parked at the mall and walked a couple miles this year since I have a new car and I took one look at that neighborhood and was like oh hell no. lol  In '06 I was driving my shitbox grand am, looked nice but def. wasn't worth stealing.  Your cobalt wouldn't last 2 seconds...

How about your bike?  You could even take it around the gate with you, LOL

Yes, it's in a terrible neighborhood and you can't do anything with the land.  However there are several large buildings intact so it might have been a good price before the housing bubble burst.

Seems like they're trying to recoup the cost of the maintenance for the cross for all these years.  That wasn't cheap.

Can't you just drive up there? It's not too bad of a neighborhood since it's at the top of a big hill on a dead end. I wouldn't park at the base of the hill on the street, but never had a problem just driving right up to the gate the half dozen times I've been there. If I had 775k I'd buy it and build a fortress and set up a toll on 84. Depending how much land is with it, most of it seems like rock, not gonna grow any veggies there.

The place is absolutely wallpapered with no parking/no trespassing signs. I've parked right there in the past myself. Back in 2006 it only had a single sign buried in some bush somewhere, but now I counted about 10 signs on the gate alone.  And we passed a patrolling cop.

And...I have a nice car, not going to chance some wingnut damaging it while trying to tow it. haha
