Hi Guys! We're testing the spam detection software and I've temporarily disabled all IB bans that weren't member related.
Now, I'm stepping away from the computer for the rest of the day, so if there is a MASSIVE influx of spam I will reverse what I did tonight and clean up the mess. If our software works, then you shouldn't see much of a difference. Cross your fingers!
Quick update:
Since lifting all the bans our spam detection software caught 117 spammers attempting to register and it missed 10. None of those 10 posted anything unless I missed it and someone else deleted it.
I will probably enable the bans again sometime this weekend, so it still has the potential to get ugly. lol
Wow, it is sad how many spammers are out there.
They're all bots, which is even worse. Who has time to program these things? lol
Anyway, I enabled all the bans again. If you know of anyone who is accidentally banned or if you find yourself banned, come find me on facebook and I will fix it.
