A bit of history, stolen from the Air In Ruins website
"Down Under, or Sullivan's, featured 24 lanes of duck pin bliss. A small deli/coffee counter was in the back called Chip's cafeteria. Some food looked like is was available. Parking was ample, of course, as you basically parked on the roof, and then walked "down under" to the alleys. There is an unconfirmed rumor that it was open merely eight years ago for a short time, around 2001, before it closed up again for good."

I love this place, I remember first time I went, was with a bunch of guys from burrivelle who dont necessarily explore. so they were all getting creeped out because of it being dark and abandoned (I didnt know how to turn the lights on at the time) but I personally like the place its one of those cozy 'at home' abandonments. you know why not stay awhie and play a game of pool!

Also check out the sears next door, theres some motion censors inside but you should be fine.

Was it fully heated? I don't remember that part. From what I recall, the first few times we went it was summertime.

Indeed it was, but you must remember, I went there multiple times before we started hanging.

Hope it's OK to resurrect old threads.

I noticed the plywood is off the large window and it's currently wide open. This place is high on my list to check out, since I spent a fair amount of my preteen and high school years in it. Anyone know what's going on there or would be up for joining me?  Or at least be so kind as to tip me off to the location of the breakers for the lights :)?

Oh man that place was so fun! The heat used to work in there too! As far as I know the lights don't work anymore. Not since some one set a fire inside. Fire department would have asked for all utilities to be shot off and only he owner could have them restored. I woul love to see the inside again! Perhaps a return trip is in the future!

No sir! If u stand behind it, ( in the parking lot) and go to the right side of the building and look at the wall there is a board on the wall. If u can get it off there's a hole behind it and that's our old way in. Also the ?sears? Next door is also vacant. Entrance is also in the back. I believe it is still the big roll up door.

From 30 seconds in the stairwell:

The plywood over the front door was swinging in the breeze; then it disappeared between 6 and 9 pm this past Tuesday.  The back door to the parking lot is gone now, too. There were traffic counting tubes across North Main Street last week, so I think something is going to happen with one or more of the Sears, Anderson Little, and Down Under sites soon...

Yeah, I noticed that driving by last Wednesday night :(. The parking lot in the back is hospital employees only, so that's definitely a good place to be noticed.
