Title: Hells Gate
Post by: insanebeaver on June 13, 2010, 10:50:32 AM
I'm comfused about why everyone's obsessed hells gate?¿?¿  i took a trip there very recently and it made me realize a few things. (on top of how dumb it was) Are you guys really gonna travel to see anything but a standing structure with cool things to explore. How is it exploring if it's a concrete foundation i think findin the place would be the only exploring you'd be doing
Q/a For the "ghost hunters" out there are you really willing to travel to a location just to see ghosts.  do you only appreciate the sites because there are supposedly "ghosts" present their.
I'm sorry if i sound ignorant but im sick of people saying nsh and lsh ,ladd  (along with a ton more) are currently haunted.  Im gonna stick to places with walls and a roof but have fun in you're grass fields ;P

I think people go to Hell's gate b/c it used to be off limits and that made it "exciting" to go to. Now I think people either go there A) for a nice nature walk or B) for its alleged history of either a mob hang-out or witch stories. Just my 2c.

HOLLA.......er..........

No really, seriously, for some reason I keep getting emails asking where it is at least a couple times a month.  Ever since I posted the exact coordinates of it the emails stopped THANK GOD

but geez louise people...seriously...  everything said above is true...it's so not even really worth your time/the hassle/bugs etc etc etc.  Unless you're me but that's because I was nostalgic for entirely non-HG-related reasons.

I have a sinking feeling I was hanging out at hell's gates when all these people who email me were in diapers.  Where's my cane? etc.

I think the HG topic somewhere on this forum has the most views of any topic in this entire forum.

And...who wants to bet that someone is going to come in here and ask where it is?

Maybe you should start giving wrong directions.

ie: "Take Rout 1 North till you reach Massachusetts, take the 3rd right, then go straight through 2 lights, at the yellowish house take a sharp left turn. At the oak stump on left turn into the woods and follow the trail 6 miles till you reach the river. HG is on the other side."

I like that.  I posted correct coordinates in the forum here, but I could always give them the coordinates from this XKCD comic http://xkcd.com/240/

I am a total bitch. I'm totally going to be sitting on my front porch with a rifle and an afghan by the time I'm 30.
