Title: New ideas
Post by: Marbles on September 09, 2008, 08:19:25 PM
So I'm living in the states, North Florida, near Tallahassee and I've been UEing for awhile now. Abandoned plantations are a big thing around here, as well as a couple of oil refinery's I've checked out. We can also get on the rooftops downtown and go from building to building.

I really enjoy this hobby but I've run into a problem.
I've run out of places to go.

I've been around town looking for new places and I can't really find anything else except construction sites and parks.
I kinda need some new ideas on what to do. I was thinking about walking the train tracks to look for new places to see or maybe start looking into drains.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on where to look, or if I can use the internet in any way to look for abandoned buildings.
I was thinking the city might have a list of condemned buildings in town, but I have no idea how I would end up getting a copy of it.
Thanks in advance, just discovered a couple forums like this and it's cool to know I'm not alone in this sort of thing.

Hey, if it makes you feel better all the places I've gone are burning down left and right!

Check out historical maps and compare to Google Earth, you might find some surprises :D

Commercial realestate listings and yearly town reports from town halls. The town hall stuff list all of their properties which often includes major abandoned facilities althought they have a variety of ways of saying abandoned.
