Title: Rocky Point Haunted House
Post by: Megster on December 03, 2004, 09:08:05 PM
I saw the pics of the trip to Rocky Point from two weeks ago, and saw that the former Haunted House ride has collapsed somewhat (all the fake towers are gone), which makes me question the structural integrity of the other buildings.

What's it like there?  I went in 2003 and only a part of the haunted house had collapsed at that point, which I didn't even notice until I got home and looked at the pictures (sometimes I'm a real airhead).

Are there any plans for Rocky Point's demolition?  I thought it was going to be well underway by now--wasn't it sold almost a year and a half ago to a developer?

Besides the haunted house, the other buildings aren't in that bad of shape except for the usual vandalism and graffiti.  One of the buildings there was destroyed by a fire this past september though.  The sale of the place is still going through lots of appeals. this site has a lot of news on rocky point, check it out.
