During my education at URI I enjoyed exploring the campus and finding many cool buildings in the process. However, one that had always grabbed my interest was this windowless stone building. I had no idea what it was until my dad said it was the old shooting range. Well, it was pretty much sealed up, that was until last March. A snow plow piled a bunch of snow against the side entrance, breaking open the door. Once the snow was gone, I checked it out. Out of all the places I've explored, I have to give this the nastiest award. It also got high marks for creepiness.
Built in 1920 I believe.
They boarded it up less than a week after my visit. Guess I got lucky!

Well, sadly this place was demolished two weeks ago. URI is on a demolition spree, 6 buildings so far, one being a historic house. They don't think, they just do...
I had an exgf who used to go to uri and I always wanted to go into that building, thanks for the pics
