Massive fire at former school in Taunton

By: Alexandra Cowley

It took five hours to put out a fire that started at the vacant Paul Dever School in Taunton. The fire started around 10:45 Sunday night. Officials say crews had trouble putting out the fire because of construction there. Nine tankers had to be brought in to fight the flames.

This building is no stranger to fires. Since its closure in 2002, there have been a number of arson cases there. Numerous teens have been arrested for setting fires at the vacant building.

Crews were still working to put out hot spots Monday morning. There are no reports of any injuries.
