Preston owns the hospital now, they bought it for $1 last week from the state.

Here's an article that ran in today's edition of the Norwich Bulletin.

Preston, Conn. —

In one of its first acts as property owner, Preston removed and sold for scrap two vehicles found in a brook on the grounds of the former Norwich Hospital.

First Selectman Robert Congdon said the town also has cleaned up brush, closed several access roads on the property and removed some garbage apparently overlooked by the state.

It's a small part of the estimated $25 million building and soil cleanup needed at the site.
Norwich Hospital Advisory Committee members Wednesday continued to mull options for funding sources.

Congdon said the town will apply for a $150,000 brownfield assessment grant from the Environmental Protection Agency and is seeking a congressional appropriation of between $2.5 million and $5 million.

Congdon said he also looks forward to a meeting with Norwich officials about the possibility of a joint project, an idea he said that appeals to federal agencies doling out stimulus money.

"There's real incentive to work regionally," Congdon said.

At next Wednesday's meeting, Town Attorney Bruce Chudwick is expected to present a sketch of the makeup of a future development commission. Selectman Michael Sinko said they hope to hold a town meeting within a month for town approval to create the committee. The Board of
Selectmen will appoint the members.

Pfizer executive and Preston resident Sean Nugent Wednesday spoke with the commission about his interest in being involved in such a committee. Nugent has experience in facility and operations management, and master planning capital projects for Pfizer around the globe.

yeah, just stay stealth, and keep obvious things obvious, like if you can see security they can see you, if you think you just made a loud noise, you probably did etc.

they are doing some sort of clean up there, i have been doing recon the past two weeks and theres something going on where the beach is ( next to the bus station ) and the gate over by boneski was open last sunday and there was a dump body f350 cruising around. I found out too 3rd shift gets nervous when they see me :-)
