Title: Skully's Simple San Francisco Bunkers
Post by: skully on April 22, 2006, 08:49:35 PM
Hey all.  Writing in from San Francisco.   I'm not here very long but still wanted to capture some abandonments.  I took a look at some abandoned locations but frankly the homeless, crazed, and drugged out population here is fucking astounding.  Mrs. Skully and I were walking down a road in a messed up area with homeless at every 20 feet.  Shaking and doing drugs in public, it was not the place to be.  One guy shouted out to us, "Hey, you don't want to walk down there".

Luckily, we found some killer Civil War-era (late 1800's) "Earthworks Batteries" right next to the Golden Gate Bridge.

I'll post some of my photos here and in the storage bunkers.

Very cool :)  Why are you out there?  It's so random...one moment you're talking about the Jamestown Bridge, the next, the Golden Gate.  lol

Was out there for work.  Had a couple days to hang out, brought the wife too.  Lots of fun.
