Trace and I went to the old Sutton, MA "Motor-In" Drive In Theater and got some cool pics. Afterwards, on our way back to the car Trace noticed a tunnel that runs underneath both side of traffic on Rt. 146. So we went and checked it out and took some pics:

Any ideas what that would be? Is it an indicator that there is something else in that area? I had no idea what its purpose would be.

Hi my name is Prometheus and I'm a historian criminal.

I've never seen something quite like that under a road, but it could easily just be the way it was built. I've seen things under roads, but they were just what I said... every one of them always had a different style.

Theres one very similar between lincoln woods and the state police barricks also under rt 146 in lincoln.
Don't worry, if you die....We'll make it.

just a thought could these be used by emergency personnel in case of a major accident to be able to get to the scene to treat people if for some reason they could get to the other side? i dont know I'm just speculating

Believe it or not, this is an animal pass-through.  A similar tunnel was constructed on 138 through Jamestown to allow animal to migrate from one end of the island to the other without all the road kill everywhere.
