Holy Land, USA

In Waterbury CT, there is an abandoned religious amusement park, closed since 1984.  I'd like to go, but it's a two hour drive from me and I don't want to get there only to discover that there's a ton of cops or whatever.

So has anyone been there?

I attempted to go to Holyland a few months back early but it fell through.  If you're looking for someone to go with, let me know.

I've only ever heard of one person being busted up there, and even then they were really young and just got yelled at for a few minutes.  All in all it's a great trip (it's about 1.5~2 hours from me as well).  Park right in front of it and walk right in, that's my advice (seriously).  When I went there the first time I was comming out and saw a cop but he was on stake out of one of the houses in the area so he couldn't say shit to me, I also couldn't say shit to him and break him cover, so we just looked at each other and I backed away so as not to reveal my license plate and that was that. 

I've been 3 times and it's been great every single time.  Some advice once you're there :
go off the paths and into the woods a little, there are some creepy exibits out there
forget about getting into the big main building, it's right in front and will definitely draw attention, plus it's locked up real good
really get up in the mini jerusalem and all those center exibits at one time there were trails through there are there are lots of neat things you can't see from the main path.

Megan, Waterbury isn't 2 hours from you...lol I'd say it's more like an hour and 15 minutes. It's not very far from New Britain and it takes me about an hour to get there (and I go through Hartford).
